Escape (documentation :51, 2005) uses the evocative potential of the fire escape to speak about leave-taking. Using animations created from stills of Muybridge’s motion studies, it reflects on the fragility of human existence, and our fleeting relationship to one another and to the world. Exhibited in Video in the Built Environment at the University Film and Video Association conference in Chicago, August, 2005.
